Hi!
I've always been the person who loves figuring things out.
As a kid, I'd wander into the forest behind our house, deliberately getting lost just to see if I could find my way back. I always did. There was something thrilling about the challenge, the process of observing my surroundings, spotting patterns, and navigating home.
Turns out, that's exactly what I do for a living now, just with fewer trees and more spreadsheets.
There's always a better way to do things, and it's worth the effort to find it. That curiosity led me to study marketing through the lens of culture: how people think, what they value, how to communicate in ways that resonate.
One of my first jobs out of college was with the Canadian government's tourism department, working on campaigns leading up to the 2010 Winter Olympics. I loved that we weren't just marketing a product, we were marketing an idea, a feeling, a story that connected to job creation and national identity.
From there, I joined Vega, a startup trying to create an entirely new category: plant-based protein powder. This was before it was mainstream. We weren't just talking to people who already wanted the product, we had to convince people they needed it. That's where I learned the power of positioning, storytelling, and reaching beyond the early adopters.
Then came agency life: juggling multiple clients, different industries, tight deadlines. I loved it. I'm energized by variety, by working with different people on different problems, by asking questions until I understand how their business really works.
The biggest education came from working alongside my husband on his startup for the last nine years.
He's always been an entrepreneur, never had a traditional job in his life. I, on the other hand, came from larger institutions with big budgets and established processes. Joining his bootstrap startup meant learning to be scrappy, resourceful, and fiscally responsible in ways I'd never had to be before.
It also gave me a front-row seat to what founders actually go through: the emotional rollercoaster, the competing priorities, the constant firefighting while trying to keep sight of the big vision. We grew the team, navigated rapid scaling, went through an acquisition, and launched a new B2C tech-enabled performance marketing company.
That experience taught me something crucial: Give me a big idea and I'll build the roadmap. I'll be your biggest hype girl, ask the hard questions, and figure out how to get there in the most direct, cost-effective way possible, usually with technology doing the heavy lifting.
A few years ago, we moved from Vancouver to Silicon Valley.
It was post-COVID, and we were at one of those crossroads: If not now, when?
Being here has been incredible. I'm an outsider who's now an insider, I can see the Valley from both perspectives. I understand the urgency, the AI-driven culture, the unspoken rules that happen in coffee shops and co-working spaces. But I also travel extensively (we've spent significant time in Spain, Southeast Asia, and across North America), and I see how much of this world doesn't reach beyond the bubble.
I've always been behind the scenes.
Chief of Staff. Right hand to the CEO. The person who made things run smoothly while someone else took the spotlight.
And I loved it, I still do. But I've realized I have a lot to share, and a one-page resume doesn't capture the complexity of how I think or the unique perspective I bring. So I'm stepping forward.
I want to connect with smart, curious people who are figuring out how to use AI without getting overwhelmed. I'm sharing practical tutorials, copy-paste prompts, and behind-the-scenes insights from Silicon Valley, because I believe the best tools and strategies shouldn't stay inside the bubble.
What makes me different?
When you hire me, whether full-time, fractionally, or for a project, you're not just getting someone to execute one role. You're getting someone who thinks about the business as a whole, who sees how each piece connects to the bigger picture, and who will be relentlessly resourceful in getting you there.
I read people and situations. I've made friends on the street (my kids make fun of me for this), navigated cultures around the world, and learned to pick up on what's not being said. That ability to observe, adapt, and connect is what makes me effective, whether I'm simplifying 47 chaotic school emails into one clear page or helping a founder navigate rapid growth.
I don't waste time or resources. I find the simpler path. And I get things done.
If you're a founder, entrepreneur, or professional who wants to simplify AI, scale your operations, or figure out how to work smarter without burning out, let's connect.
A Little More About Me
When I'm not optimizing workflows or diving into AI, you'll find me living my best life.
My happy place is the beach, but I'm equally passionate about learning how AI can optimize every aspect of life.
